ARTSNATION

...is a Minnesota organization committed to strengthening and promoting the performing and visual fine arts by leveraging the cost-effective application of electronic marketing and information technology for artists, arts organizations and patrons of the arts in Minnesota. Our focus is on ALL fine arts organizations, regardless of genre, size, or annual budget. The site is designed to serve both arts organizations as well as the Minnesota community.

Since 1999, ARTSNATION has been looking for the best way to to help the arts in our state. Finally, in 2003, we launched THE premier arts portal dedicated exclusively to promoting the fine arts.

Why did we do it? Well...

Did You know?

  • Minnesota has hundreds of arts organizations.
  • According to ABCnews.com, "Some 60 percent of Minnesotans polled say they are involved in the arts by engaging in some creative activity in their everyday lives.”
  • According to the leading nonprofit organization, Americans for the Arts, Minneapolis’ arts organizations (alone) deliver over 8,500 full-time jobs and almost $28 million in state and local revenue. (link)

Know how to find out what movies are playing this weekend? (All types.) ...of course you do! Now, how do you find cultural events as easily? You couldn't! Until now...

ARTSNATION makes it easy to find cultural activities in Minnesota.

The arts are extremely valuable in Minnesota. Unfortunately, many quality arts events go unnoticed because people don't know (or can't find the information easily) about what's going on in the arts.

No longer must arts organizations be limited by their time and budgets to effectively promote their events to the community. And no longer will it be easier to find out what's playing at your local cinema than it is to find quality arts events.

What if people could go to a central location to search for events? What if they could narrow their search results to a specific date, genre, location, etc? What if artists could find work and offer services in the same location? What if arts organizations could promote their entire season at once? What IF?!
